Primal Deceptions(paranormal romance) FINISHED

A virgin!
There wasn`t a nerve ending in Cameron`s totally male system which didn`t stand to attention with Ariane`s vehemently spoken words to her father. Nor a one which didn`t clamor with triumphant possessive pleasure, dying to taste her sweet life-giving nectar.
She was his. All his.
Yet… she wasn`t. How could he even let himself think along these lines?
Then she was stopping in the doorway, pulling away from her father and turning to face him.
Cameron now stood beneath the crushing force of emotions pouring off of Ariane feeling much the same way he had back in those summer escapes, sure at first he would be flattened in the initial wave to hit him. But as he had back then, he now too gradually regained his balance, slowly moving towards her, holding her gaze steady and true.
You`re hungry?
He stared into her dark eyes, sinking into the realization he wasn`t merely hungry, he was starving. Starving in so many ways. To taste her, to love her, to bond with her. His tongue touched his aching fangs starting to protrude, almost groaning out loud. Goddess above he wanted her. He couldn`t remember ever being so hungry. And it wasn`t like he was technically starved for blood either. Yesterday evening wasn`t at all a long time to go between feedings.
I can feel it, Cameron.
He swallowed with difficulty, abruptly closing his eyes, cutting off at least one source of their connection. He had to maintain control. He had to ignore her sweet smell. He had to disregard how her pert breasts simply begged to be gently squeezed, molded and licked.
A fleeting shadow of worry crossed his mind. I can wait, he reassured. Which was partly true. He could. He could also go get some if he wanted. There were plenty of sources available. But the problem was -- he didn`t want any ole` blood anymore -- he wanted hers. Only hers. And he knew it. Could feel it deep in his bones.
He shouldn`t have tasted her.
But at the time he had… he had thought she was to be his. Never in his wildest dreams had he figured things to turn out like this.
He wasn`t looking but he could tell her eyes widened with understanding. She`d picked up on the undercurrent running through him. She now knew he wanted her blood and only hers.
Knowing she knew only increased his fever of need. He could actually picture driving into her slight frame with his hot length. He could imagine how tight it would be, how slick with readiness, and knowing he`d been the only one… blood pounded in his forehead. He had to get away from her.
Are you going to be all right?
Her concern reached out and aroused his bonding instincts. How he wished he could respond to them. But he couldn`t. He could feel the conflicting desires surging chaotically within her. She was attracted to him, yet contradictorily ashamed because of this. She liked knowing he wanted her sexually but was shocked to realize his desire for her blood turned her on. She`d accepted his words for truths when he`d said they weren`t of different species, bravely choosing to embrace her world`s new boundaries yet the leap necessary for relationships beyond friends and acquaintanceships… couldn`t yet be bridged due to a lifetime of being told mixing races was wrong. In the end, she was unable to see him for anything beyond a vampire and his regret knew no bounds. Opening his eyes slowly, he stared into hers.
“Yes, Ariane, I am going to be all right.”
Without saying a word, she swiftly turned, and walked away.
